The Perkins Varsity Volleyball team turned in a strong performance Tuesday night, sweeping Vermilion High School 3-0 with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, and 25-22. Viera Walker led the Pirates with 13 kills, 7 digs, and 2 aces, while Brooklyn Cassidy added 11 kills, 11 digs, and 2 aces. Braelyn Davie helped orchestrate the Perkins offense with 35 assists, along with 4 aces and 6 digs. Addi Mason contributed 6 kills, 6 digs, and an ace, while Avisi Gehlot recorded 11 digs and an ace. The Pirates came out strong in the opening two sets and stayed composed in a closer third set, finishing off the sweep with a 25-22 win and another impressive all-around team effort.
