The Perkins Varsity Volleyball team battled through an exciting five-set match against Oak Harbor, earning a hard-fought victory by scores of 24-26, 25-21, 17-25, 25-11 and 20-18. Braelyn Davie led a record-setting performance, breaking the single-match assists record with 64 assists. She also added three aces and 13 digs. Viera Walker delivered 23 kills, three aces and 27 digs, while Brooklyn Cassidy recorded 25 kills, two blocks and 18 digs. Avisi Gehlot contributed 21 digs, and Reese Schaefer added 10 kills as the Pirates continued to battle throughout the marathon five-set match. Perkins showed tremendous resilience in the deciding set, pulling out a dramatic 20-18 victory to secure the match and cap off an impressive night for the Pirates. Their next action is on Saturday at home vs Lexington starting around noon.
