SANDUSKY, Ohio — The girls tennis team delivered a strong team effort on Saturday, August 22, taking third place out of eight teams at their own Perkins Pirate Doubles Tournament. Sylvania Northview claimed the team title with a dominant 120 points, while Lexington secured second with 55 points. Perkins fought closely for the runner-up spot, tallying 51 points to edge out Mansfield Madison (47) and Fremont Ross (45). Huron (33), Sandusky (15), and Edison (10) rounded out the remainder of the eight-team field. The Pirates were boosted by several standout performances deep in their doubles lineup, led by a runner-up finish at 3rd doubles and top-four placements at 2nd and 4th doubles.
