SHELBY — Boys varsity golf team came up just short on Wednesday at Shelby Crossing Golf Course, falling to Shelby in a competitive dual match, 151–156. Bruce Crabtree led the way for the Pirates, carding a team-best 36. Ian Krecic provided strong support near the top of the card with a 38, while Kyle Schaefer and Colton Kelley capped off the varsity team scoring by each turning in a 41. On the junior varsity side, Perkins put together a solid collective performance, matching the varsity squad's team total with a combined score of 156. Brady Catlett spearheaded the JV effort, leading the group with a team-low 43. The Pirates are back in action on Thursday at Woussickett hosting the Perkins Shootout starting at 8am.
