PERKINS FOOTBALL ROLLS PAST NORWALK IN 75-0 SHUTOUT
NORWALK, Ohio — October 9, 2026 — The Perkins Pirates delivered a dominant performance Friday night, rolling past the Norwalk Truckers 75-0 on the road. Perkins controlled the game on both sides of the ball, piling up 460 yards of total offense while holding Norwalk to just 60 yards and forcing two turnovers.
The Pirates' offense was nearly unstoppable, averaging 14.4 yards per play and recording 21 first downs compared to just five for Norwalk. Perkins found success through both the air and on the ground, scoring six passing touchdowns and four rushing touchdowns.
Quarterbacks Grant Kuhnle and JJ Green combined for a perfect night passing the ball. Kuhnle completed 7 of 9 passes for 135 yards and four touchdowns without an interception, while Green completed all 10 of his attempts for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Together, they finished 17-of-19 for 248 yards and six touchdowns.
On the ground, Connor Smith led the Pirates with 89 yards on three carries, including a 55-yard touchdown run. Smith finished with two rushing touchdowns. Green added 63 rushing yards on three attempts and scored twice on the ground as well. Raji Randleman contributed 22 yards, while Grant Kuhnle added 18 yards on one carry.
Perkins also spread the ball around through the air, with nine different players recording receptions. Kaden Legando led the way with four catches for 70 yards and a touchdown. Bryce Davie added an 18-yard touchdown reception, and Logan Wadsworth scored on a 12-yard catch. Preston Bleile contributed two receptions for seven yards and a touchdown.
The Pirates' defense was just as impressive, pitching a shutout while limiting Norwalk to 38 net rushing yards and 22 passing yards. Perkins held the Truckers to just 1-of-12 on third-down conversions and forced two interceptions. The defense's pressure and disciplined play prevented Norwalk from finding any offensive rhythm throughout the contest.
