FREMONT, Ohio — The Perkins boys varsity golf team continued their impressive run in conference play on Friday, August 21, turning in a team total of 314 at the Fremont Country Club to capture a share of first place at Northern Ohio Conference (NOC) Tournament #2. Coming off a victory at the opening conference leg earlier in the season at Maumee Bay, the Pirates matched the field's top team mark of 314 over 18 holes. The tight contest ultimately required a tiebreaker to determine final standings, with the top spot officially decided by the fifth player’s score. Standout Performances Perkins' lineup was fueled by lower scores across the board, highlighted by two sub-80 performances: Kyle Schaefer: Fired a team-best round of 74, anchoring the Pirates' leaderboard push. Eli Judy: Stayed sharp throughout the day, carding a solid 79 to bolster the top of the score sheet.
